Founded on the singular, brutal philosophy of survival at any cost, there is no formal system of law or civil guard to maintain order. Security is dictated entirely by the warriors of the bone tribes. ## Commerce & Status Commerce within the city is conducted through a primal exchange of **gold, physical goods, or blood**. A person's status is determined by their weaponry — the more intricately decorated and expertly designed a blade or hammer, the more respect the bearer commands amongst the clans. This respect for craftsmanship is a unifying trait across the Orcish war-bands and Tabaxi merchants alike. A dull blade in Djiris is a death sentence. ## Water — The Most Precious Commodity Due to the parched nature of the surrounding peaks, water is the most valued resource in Mefi'Taran.
